At the heart of the Greater Kenridge CID are four key focus areas that reflect the priorities of our community. These areas guide all our activities, projects, and partnerships — ensuring that our neighbourhood thrives in a sustainable and inclusive
1. Public Safety
We work to create a secure environment where residents, visitors and businesses feel safe.
Enhancing communication through community safety networks
Partnering with SAPS and security service providers
Supporting visible patrols and rapid response teams
Installing or maintaining CCTV where needed
2. Urban Cleaning & Maintenance
We aim to keep our public spaces clean, well-maintained and welcoming.
Litter removal, sidewalk sweeping, and bin upkeep
Graffiti removal and illegal dumping response
Pavement and stormwater drain maintenance
Reporting infrastructure issues to the City and ensuring follow-up
3. Environmental Upliftment
A greener Greater Kenridge is a better Greater Kenridge. Our environmental focus includes:
Tree planting and urban greening initiatives
Maintenance of public green spaces and verges
Supporting water-wise gardening and recycling
Collaborating on beautification and eco-awareness projects
4. Social Development
We believe in supporting the well-being of all community members.
Assisting vulnerable individuals in collaboration with local NGOs
Facilitating access to support services
Encouraging youth involvement and volunteerism
