The Greater Kenridge area is a beautiful, community-driven suburb — but like many areas, we’re facing persistent challenges that require a coordinated, proactive solution. Establishing a City Improvement District (CID) allows us to take control of our shared space and uplift our environment through targeted interventions. Here’s why a CID is essential:
1. Addressing Crime and Improving Public Safety
A CID allows us to fund dedicated safety initiatives including:
– Additional security patrols
– Surveillance infrastructure like CCTV
– Coordination with law enforcement
2. Combatting Urban Decay
Roads, pavements, and public infrastructure are deteriorating. CID funds will support:
– Repairing and maintaining road verges and sidewalks
– Clearing overgrowth and cleaning public spaces
– Fixing lighting, signage, and street furniture where needed

Greater Kenridge has several large parks that are underutilised or neglected. CID funds will support:
– Regular cleaning and landscaping

– Only once we have majority support (60% +1 of property owners) will the CID be officially established

All levy amounts will be shared transparently before the voting process.

– The CID is managed by a non-profit company (NPC), with oversight from a board of directors made up of local property owners
– Funds are used exclusively for the benefit of the Greater Kenridge CID area
– Annual reports, budgets, and audits are presented at public AGMs and shared with all stakeholders
